Marion Clay Ledson Jr.

Marion Clay Ledson Jr., 97, of Lenore, West Virginia, passed away at his home Saturday, May 11, 2024.
He was born March 6, 1927, in Mingo County to the late Marion Clay Ledson Sr. and Florence Clark.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife of 69 years, Allen Ledson; four sisters, Bertha, Dora “Sis,” Mabel and Sinda; and one brother, Leon “Bud” Ledson.
Jr was a member of the Old Regular Bethany Church on Laurel Creek. He loved to go to shindigs and auctions on estate sales. He was an avid fisherman and even the president of the Laurel Creek Fishing Club.
Survivors include three sons, Jerry (Marjorie) Ledson of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, Walter (Mary) Ledson of Lenore, West Virginia, and Tony (Helen) Ledson of Fort Gay, West Virginia, and four daughters, Linda (Larry) Moody of Grove City, Ohio, Kay (Gary Young) Adams of Groveport, Ohio, Karen (John) Dingess of West Liberty, and Connie (Gary) Sharp of Leon, West Virginia. He also leaves behind 16 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, May 15, 2024, at the Fellowship Church on Laurel Creek. Burial will follow at the Ledson Cemetery. Friends may visit the church Tuesday after 6 p.m. Arrangements are under the direction of the Callaham Funeral Home, Inez, Kentucky.
