Wanda L. (Harmon) Vanhoose
1945—2024
Wanda L. (Harmon) Vanhoose, 79, of Paintsville, formerly of Martin County, passed away April 27, 2024, at Parkwest Medical Center in Knoxville, Tennessee.
Born April 12, 1945, in Kermit, West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late George Avery Harmon and Mary Eunice Grace Harmon.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Bruce Thomas Vanhoose; one son, Darrick Avery Harmon; one brother, Darrell Harmon; and one sister, Diane Branham.
Survivors include two sons, Wesley Harmon of Africa and Adam Christian Skeens of Phoenix, Arizona; three daughters, Lewanna Jill Skeens and Paula Skeens, both of Madison, Wisconsin, and Allison Elaine Tackett of Glasgow; three brothers, George Gary Harmon of Inez, Glen Harmon of Webbville and Randy Harmon of Winchester; and three sisters, Kay Whitt of Tomahawk, Robin Newsome of Inez and Joan Castle of Louisa. She also leaves behind 12 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services are set for Wednesday, May 1, 2024, at 11 a.m. in the Crum Funeral Home chapel, Inez, with Eddie Joe Stepp Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at Mountain Valley Memorial Garden. Friends may visit the funeral home Tuesday from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Arrangements are under the direction of Crum Funeral Home of Inez.
