NAUGATUCK, W.Va. — The Tug Valley Lady Panthers softball team is scheduled to open its seven-team Class A Region 4 Section tournament Monday, April 29 at home against Huntington St. Joe.
Tug Valley (16-6), coached by Rocky Hall, is the No. 3 seed. The St. Joe Irish are No. 6.
No. 4 seed and three-time defending champion Man opens with No. 5 Van, and No. 2 Sherman opens vs. No. 7 Tolsia also on Monday.
No. 1 seed Buffalo gets a first-round bye.
Barring any weather delays, the tournament is set to conclude May 4 with the championship game.
The tournament is in a double elimination format and higher seeded teams host the games.
