Marian Sue (Horn) Bowen
1945—2024

Marian Sue Horn Bowen, 78, passed away Monday, April 22, 2024, at her home.

She was born Dec. 18, 1945, to Luther and Philista Perry Horn.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Bowen; two sons, John Luther and Paul Lynn; a daughter, Melisa Sharlene; and a grandson, Paul Luther Bowen.

Marian was a homemaker and member of the Warfield Church of God.

Survivors include one sister, Rebecca Yaunk; three sons, Melvin Mitchell (Denise) Bowen, William Arthur (Crystal) Bowen and Joshua Paul Bowen; daughter, Samantha Michelle (Bruce) Valentine; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were conducted Wednesday, April 24, 2024, at the Mullins Family Funeral Home, Warfield, with Robbie May officiating. Burial was in the Melvin Bowen Cemetery in Hode. Mullins Family Funeral Home is honored to serve the family.
