Emma Jean Marcum
1948—2024

Emma Jean Marcum, 75, of Kermit, West Virginia, passed away Monday, April 15, 2024 at her home.

Born Sept. 28, 1948, in Logan, West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Russell Bryant and Edith Marcum Bryant.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by one son, Harry L. Marcum.

Emma was a retired beautician.

Survivors include her husband, Harry L. Marcum; one son, Boyd (Robin Brewer) Marcum; four grandchildren, Boyd Marcum Jr., Harry Glen Marcum, Damien Sky Johnson and Dakota Blake Bryant; and four great-grandchildren, Layla Rachelle Marcum, Emma Brooke Bryant, Everlee Marie Bryant and Ensley Blake Bryant. She also leaves behind five siblings, Darrell Bryant, Harrison Bryant, Johnny Bryant, Judy Copeland and Jim Earl Bryant, and a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m., Sunday, April 21, 2024, at the Callaham Funeral Home in Warfield, Kentucky, with Walter Marcum officiating. Burial will follow at the Marcum Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of the Callaham Funeral Home, Inez.
