James Marcum
1957—2024

James Marcum, 66, of Hilltop, West Virginia, formerly of Dunlow, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 9, 2024 at the Bowers Hospice House in Beckley.

Born June 15, 1957 in Williamson, he was the son of the late Luther and Lucy Muncy Marcum.

James is preceded in death by his siblings, Ruby Marcum, Harold, Elmer, Millard, Clarence and Jerry Marcum.

He was a farmer and a member of the Lighthouse Baptist Church in Huntington.

Survivors include his children, Jerry Marcum of Louisville, Kentucky, James Marcum of Ft. Gay, James Lawrence Messer of Prichard, and Ray Marcum, Carl Marcum, Ruby Johnson and Earlene Marcum, all of Louisa, Kentucky, and 18 grandchildren. James also leaves behind his siblings, Ray Marcum of Columbus, Ohio, and Luther Marcum of North Carolina, as well as numerous extended family and friends.

Funeral services were conducted Saturday, April 13, 2024, at Mullins Family Funeral Home, Warfield, with Pastor Dennis Morrello officiating. Burial was in the Marcum-Spaulding Cemetery.
