Martin County High School Beta Club shines at state convention

Martin County High School Beta Club members made their mark in the Kentucky State Beta Convention despite unconventional circumstances. The event, which was moved to a virtual format due to inclement weather, announced its winners March 22, revealing several awards going to MCHS students.

In the category of Performing Arts Solo, Duo, and Trio-Dancers, the duo of Caroline Mills and Livia Howell secured a fifth-place finish.

In Performing Arts Small Group, Caroline Mills, Livia Howell, Londyn Fraley, Kambria Fluty and Mia Fields finished in fourth place.

A standout moment came in the Three Dimensional Design competition, where Wesley Rosensteel’s creation captured the first-place prize.

In addition to the accolades, Caroline Mills and Livia Howell have been selected as Premier Performers for the opening ceremonies of the upcoming National Beta Convention.

All of these students have qualified to compete at the National Beta Convention, scheduled for June 16-19 in Savannah, Georgia.

The school community extends congratulations to all the Beta Club members who competed and placed during the state convention.
