RED JACKET, W.Va. — The Lady Panthers softball team of Tug Valley defeated county rival Mingo Central 14-6 Thursday.
Bailee Hall was the winning pitcher, and she helped her own cause at the plate with two doubles and scored four runs. Hall also had a couple of RBIs.
Haleigh Muncy had two hits, belted a home run and had three RBIs, while Amelya Wellman had a hit and three RBIs.
Hailey Newsome and Makenna Osborne both had a pair of hits to help the Lady Panthers of Coach Rocky Hall pick up the win.
Tug Valley had 12 hits as a team. Megan Griffey, Tailyn Russell and Jessica Spaulding also had base hits to help with the victory.
The Lady Panthers were scheduled to travel to Poca for their next game and had a full slate of games scheduled this week weather permitting.
