ASHLAND — A 20-year-old man has been apprehended by the Kentucky State Police Post 14 on charges related to the death of his mother.

The arrest took place Thursday in Greenup County.

Joshua Meenach faces charges of murder, arson in the first degree, tampering with physical evidence, and abuse of a corpse.

These allegations stem from an investigation that began March 31, 2023, after the discovery of Stacy Meenach’s remains in a burned-out vehicle on Sawpit Road in Greenup County.

A Greenup County grand jury issued an indictment warrant for Joshua Meenach on March 27, 2024. He was lodged in the Greenup County Detention Center.
