Mollie Ellen (Maynard) Spaulding
1944—2024

Mollie Ellen Spauling, age 79, of Kermit, West Virginia, passed away March 14, 2024, at her residence.

Born Sept. 1, 1944, on Peter Cave in Pilgrim, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Chester and Ethel Porter Maynard.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Spaulding, and one sister, Oma Scott.

Survivors include her daughter, Barbara Ann Ferguson of Warfield, Kentucky; three brothers, Chester Ray (Judy) Maynard of Crum, Dennis (Gail) Maynard of Pilgrim, Kentucky, and Prentice Maynard of Inez, Kentucky; three sisters, Christine (Lindsey) Spaulding of Kermit, Vicie (Ray) Carter of Beauty, Kentucky, and Annie (Billy) Dingess of Tomahawk, Kentucky; and brother-in-law, Mack Scott of Lovely, Kentucky. She also leaves behind two grandchildren, Samantha Spaulding and Jason (Amanda) Spaulding; three great-grandchildren, Keegan Spaulding, Anna White and Maryssa Salmons; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, March 17, 2024, at noon at the Perry Point Church on Jennie’s Creek. Burial will follow at the Spaulding Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Crum Funeral Home of Inez, Kentucky.
