Chandra Leigh Kirk Obituary

Chandra Leigh Kirk
1982—2024

It is with the heaviest of hearts that the family of Chandra Leigh (Crigger) Kirk announce her departure from her earthly home to her Heavenly home March 11, 2024, at Three Rivers Medical Center in Louisa.

Chandra was a beloved daughter, granddaughter, sister, niece, aunt, cousin, wife and precious mother to her children.

She was born Dec. 27, 1982, in Huntington, West Virginia, to her loving parents, Brad and Annetta (Brewer) Crigger. From that day, she has remained the light of their lives.

In addition to her parents, Chandra leaves behind her husband of 19 years, Jeffrey David Kirk, whom she loved and adored; her precious children, Leandra (Jay) Hinkle, Nataleigh Kirk and Carsen Kirk; brother, Jamie (Tashia) Crigger; two special great aunts, Marcella Stepp and Jewell Sammons; her Uncle Greg and Sissy Angie Crigger; her Uncle Junior and Aunt Kara Porter; and a whole host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who loved and adored her.

Chandra’s life dreams were based on her faith, her passion to help others and the love she had for her family. She was of the Baptist faith and considered Rosetown Church as her home church.

She was a 2001 graduate of Tolsia High School and a 2005 graduate of St. Mary’s School of Radiologic Technology. Even though these are wonderful accomplishments, she considered her family to be her most shining achievement, and she embraced every precious moment with her husband and children. Whether it be a school function, a race or a sporting event of any kind, she and Jeff were their children’s No. 1 fans.

She was a loyal friend with a welcoming smile to all those she met, knew and loved. Her laughter would fill the room.

Chandra was welcomed into Heaven by her maternal grandparents, Lloyd and Violet (Newsome) Brewer; paternal grandparents, Arthur Lee and Dortha Jean (Stepp) Crigger; and special great aunt, Ernestine (Romans) Stepp. It is our hope that while sitting at the Master’s Table, she has the pleasure of enjoying a big plate of biscuits and gravy with her Papaw Lloyd Brewer. Chandra’s childhood nickname was Sunshine, for she was her family’s joy and light, but she is now basking in the light of God’s wondrous love. We will forever cherish you, our dear Chandra. We were blessed to spend every moment that we had with you.

Funeral services were conducted Saturday, March 16, 2024, at the Warfield Chapel of the Callaham Funeral Home with Bobby Perry and Ken Allen officiating. Burial was at the Brewer Cemetery. Arrangments are under the direction of the Callaham Funeral Home, Inez.
