PRESTONSBURG — Big Sandy Community and Technical College (BSCTC) recently hosted the East Kentucky Regional Science & Engineering Fair. Students in grades 4-12 were invited to display their scientific talents to earn a spot at the Kentucky Science & Engineering Fair.
This program brings creativity and involvement from the community and allows students to explore their passions.
“The Science and Engineering Fair is an extremely beneficial thing that the students can participate in because it gives them a chance to take the science and engineering outside their traditional classroom environment,” said Joseph Collins, program coordinator at the Challenger Learning Center of Kentucky.
The first- and second-place winners will move on to the Kentucky Science and Engineering Fair set for March 22 and 23 at Eastern Kentucky University’s Student Recreation Center.
