Homer L. Ward
1950—2024

Homer L. Ward, 74, of Tomahawk, passed away March 5, 2024 at his residence.

Born Feb. 12, 1950 in Martin County, he was the son of the late Melvin Ward Jr. and Lesta Mills Ward.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by four sisters, Darlene Collins, Neva Sue Horn, Pam Workman and Drema Ward.

He is survived by his wife, Yvonne Crisp Ward; one son, Kenneth Lynn Ward of Inez; two daughters, Vonda (Scott) Blanton of Hager Hill and Stephanie (Jeffrey) Staton of Tomahawk; two brothers, Bob Ward and Walt (Charlotte) Ward, both of Tomahawk, and one sister, Carol Ann Wells of Inez. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 9, 2024 at 1 p.m. in the chapel of Crum Funeral Home with Brian Crum officiating. Burial will follow at the Ward Cemetery. Friends may visit at the funeral home Friday from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Arrangements are under the direction of Crum Funeral Home of Inez.
