Happy high school
Fans rush the gymnasium floor to celebrate Martin County High School’s 57th District three-peat Thursday.
Head basketball coach Jason James collects his third straight district tournament net. He and the Cardinals head to the 15th Region tournament at 7:45 p.m. March 6 at the Appalachian Wireless Arena in Pikeville.
Martin County Schools Superintendent Larry James (right) smiles as he checks out the championship trophy. Senior basketball player Luke Hale is also pictured (left).
