Rita Jean Maynard
1943—2024

Rita Jean Maynard, 80, of Inez, passed away Saturday, March 2, 2024, at Highlands ARH Regional Medical Center in Prestonsburg.

Born April 24, 1943, in Martin County, she was the daughter of the late Doc and Mae Sites.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by one daughter, Mary Maynard, daughter-in-law, Vina Maynard and one grandson, Cecil Riley Maynard.

Rita is survived by her husband, Riley Maynard of Inez; four children, Riley (Sherry) Maynard Jr., Timothy (Cheryl) Maynard, Marcie (Johnny) Dials, all of Inez, and Delilah (John) Misseson of Tomahawk; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren whom she loved like her own. She is also survived by her siblings, Doc Sites Jr. and Lloyd Sites, both of Tomahawk, and Mary Bowling and Doris Morrison, both of Columbus, Ohio.

Funeral services were conducted at Monday, March 4, 2024, at the Callaham Funeral Home in Inez, with Maurice Mills officiating. Burial was at the family cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of the Callaham Funeral Home, Inez.
