Cora Maynard Fletcher
1929—2024
Cora (Maynard) Fletcher, 94, of Pilgrim, passed away Friday, March 1, 2024, surrounded by her family at her home.
Born Sept. 13, 1929, at Pigeon Roost, she was the daughter of the late Isaac and Lory (Moore) Maynard.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Fletcher; son, Larry Fletcher; grandson, Justin Michael Fletcher; and her siblings, Ira (Elzavae)Maynard, Bert (Sally) Maynard, Dolly (Joe) Duncan and Thelma (Johnie) Fletcher.
She is survived by her children, Betty (Mitchell) Moore, Isaac (Judy) Fletcher, Judy (Billy) Adkins; daughter-in-law, Donna Sue Fletcher; grandchildren, Randy Joe Moore, Johnny Lee Moore, Dustin (Kelly) Moore, Larry Joe Fletcher, Krystal (Jamie) Cothran, Brandon (Tabitha) Fletcher, Amie (Nathan) Harless, Haley (Robert) Howell; great-grandchildren, Dovi (Josh) Blackburn, Tara Moore, Hope (Michael) Mullins, Justin Cothran, Payzlee, Kami and Lilah Fletcher, Kaylee and Sophie Harless, Brody, Kruze, Kash and Boston Howell; and great-great-grandchildren, Uriah Ray, Easton Mullins, two little girls on the way; and several nieces and nephews.
Cora was baptized Jan. 25, 1975, at the Wolf Creek United Baptist Church, where she was a faithful member until her passing.
A special thank you to her caregivers, Bonnie Maynard and Cora Stanley, who took such good care of our precious mother.
Funeral services were conducted Sunday, March 3, 2024 at the Callahan Funeral Home in Inez, with Gary Jude and Glenn Penix officiating. Burial was at the Fletcher Family Cemetery on Big Peter Cave. Arrangements are under the direction of the Callahan Funeral
