WARFIELD — Martin County Middle School welcomed Vernon Robinson as head coach of the baseball team.
Robinson has extensive experience in the game of baseball, having played in high school at both Lawrence County and Sheldon Clark.
He earned his bachelor’s degree at Eastern Kentucky University in 2001 and is the JAG teacher at MCMS.
“I am pleased to have been given the honor of coaching the Martin County Middle School Baseball Cardinals,” Robinson said. “I have loved the game since childhood… I look forward to the upcoming season, working with the kids, and meeting the parents.”
Robinson said his coaching philosophy is simple: “Have fun. Play hard. Play to win.”
