Over 100 ATC students compete in annual SKILLS USA competition

Area technology center students at BSCTC’s Mayo Campus for the annual SKILLS USA competition.

PAINTSVILLE — Big Sandy Community and Technical College’s Mayo Campus hosted a display of talent with over 100 area technology center students from Floyd, Johnson, Magoffin, Martin and Pike counties competing in the annual SKILLS USA competition.

Keithen McKenzie, Dean of Technical Education at BSCTC, expressed his enthusiasm for hosting the event and witnessing the region’s top talent in action.

“Seeing these students showcasing their skills and passion for their chosen fields is inspiring,” McKenzie said. “The event is always a testament to the dedication and hard work of the students and their teachers, who tirelessly prepare them for such competitions while instilling the values of professionalism and excellence.”
