Mingo County Sheriff’s Office receives bulletproof vests

Mingo County Sheriff’s Office recently received brand-new bulletproof vests for its deputies. The vests were purchased with funds from the U.S. Department of Justice’s Bureau of Justice Assistance Patrick Leahy Bulletproof Vest Partnership, a federal grant award program. Pictured with some of the vests purchased with this award are (left to right) Sgt. Norman Mines, Chief Deputy Allen Mounts, grant writer Leigh Ann Ray, Sheriff Joe Smith and Deputy Matt Tiller.
