Melody Sue Young
1957—2024

Melody Sue Young, 65, of Williamson, West Virginia, passed away Jan. 12, 2024, at Pikeville Medical Center in Pikeville.

Born July 12, 1957, in Williamson, she was the daughter of Pearl Maxine Stepp Young of Williamson and the late Willard Paul Young. She is preceded in death by Barry Vincent Young and Benjamin (Benny) Harrison Young.

She is survived by her son, Jeffrey Allen (Jeff) Young of Williamson; daughter, Stardonia (Star) Arminta Rice Rey of Lexington, Kentucky; five grandchildren, Armando Elizondo, Emily Sandoval, Shantell Sandoval, Sonia Sandoval and Parker Sandoval; great-grandchildren, Trini Fields and August Elizondo; siblings, Paul Young, James (Jimmy) Young and Martha (Tibby) Young; many nieces and nephews whom she loved very much, and lifelong friend Ronald (Bandana) Donahue.

Memorial services will be held at a later date. Mullins Family Funeral Home is honored to serve the family.
