Mary Jo (Messer) Hensley
1968—2024

Our beautiful angel Mary Jo (Messer) Hensley, 55, left this earth unexpectedly at her home Jan. 18, 2024.

Mary is preceded in death by her father, Kelly Messer; mother, Odessa Spaulding Messer; and niece, Courtney Messer.

Mary was a graduate of Kermit High School.

Her faith in the Lord was so strong. She loved her mother and her cats and animals and loved spending time with family and friends. She will surely be missed by all of us.

Mary is survived by her brothers, Willie Messer of Marrowbone Creek in Kermit, Arvel (Sharri) Messer of Kermit, Danny (Lisa) Messer of Hode, Kentucky, and Bobby Messer of Kermit; and sisters, Ernestine (James) Woods, Phyllis Robertson, Sharlene Messer and Tammy Bembry, all of Ohio, Bertha (Johnny) James of Kermit and Linda Messer of Lavelette. She had 16 nieces and nephews and 14 great-nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, Jan. 23, 2024, at the Mullins Family Funeral Home, Warfield, with Freddie Messer Jr. officiating. Burial was at the Kelly and Odessa Messer Cemetery on Jennies Creek. Mullins Family Funeral Home is honored to serve the family.
