Jimmy Chapman
1952—2024

Jimmy Lee Chapman, 71, of Beauty, passed away Saturday, Jan. 13, 2024, at the Community Hospice of Ashland.

Born Dec. 5, 1952, in Martin County, he was the son of the late James A. Chapman and Betty Wellman.

Jimmy’s late aunt and uncle Grace and John Spaulding raised Jimmy from a baby and sent him to a special school in Danville for deaf and mute children.

He is survived by a special nephew, Johnny Michael Davis of Columbus, Ohio, and several cousins and friends.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 25, 2024, at the Gospel Light Freewill Baptist Church in Beauty. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m., with Pastor Rodney Brown officiating. Burial will follow at the Perry Damron Cemetery on Poplar Fork Road, Beauty. Mullins Family Funeral Home is honored to serve the family.
