Chief Deputy Chris Kidd responded to a call to dispatch about a possibly intoxicated driver in a black two-door Chevy truck at Zip Zone on Blacklog. Upon making contact, the deputy noticed McCoy had slurred speech and glassy, bloodshot eyes. The arrest report states McCoy seemed nervous and had difficulty speaking clearly. Following a field sobriety test, the deputy placed McCoy under arrest. In a post-arrest search of the driver area of the vehicle, officers found an eyeglass case with a clear bag containing a white powder crystal substance.

Deputy J.C. Kirk attempted to make a traffic stop due to expired tags. According to the police report, Gillespie pulled into a driveway and then attempted to ram the police cruiser, getting back onto the highway and fleeing at a high rate of speed with the officer in pursuit. Deputy Kidd went to Dempsey Housing to serve a warrant on Jude. Law enforcement had an active warrant for a stolen cellphone and a tip that the phone was in Jude’s apartment. When officers knocked on the door, asking if they could enter, a female opened it and stated she would have to ask Jude as it was Jude’s apartment. The female returned to the door and opened it, and law enforcement announced their presence inside the apartment with no response from Jude.
Upon entering the bedroom, officers found Jude hiding in the closet, head down, hands not visible. According to the police report, in plain view were a suboxone packet and drug paraphernalia. Law enforcement said Jude had a small black box under her that contained a glass pipe typically used for smoking methamphetamine, a white crystal substance weighing approximately 3.5 grams, several individual blue baggies and digital scales.
Jude produced a Samsung phone, stating it was the phone she had purchased from a male the previous day that was reported stolen.
