WURTLAND — Two people are in jail for the murder of a 5-year-old in Greenup County.

Rachell Waddell, 36, and Christopher Stiltner, 38, were arrested Thursday at their residence on Oak Street in Wurtland for the June 17, 2023, murder of the child.

Kentucky State Police Post 14 investigated the case. Earlier Thursday, the KSP presented the case to a Greenup County grand jury, who determined there was enough evidence to issue indictments for murder.

Waddell and Stiltner are in the Greenup County Detention Center.

KSP Detective Rowland is investigating the case.
