Thelma Fields
1929—2024

Thelma Fields, 94, of Warfield, passed away Saturday, Dec. 30, 2023, at the Martin County Health Care Facility in Inez.

Born March 9, 1929, in Dunlow, West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Dora Roberts Copley.

In addition to her parents, Thelma is preceded in death by her spouse, Raymond Fields; children, Doris Drake and Kenny Fields; seven brothers; and six sisters. Thelma was a homemaker and a member of the Golden Springs Freewill Baptist Church in Stone Coal, West Virginia.

Survivors include her son, Johnny Fields of Warfield; grandchildren, Jason and Jamie Drake, Brandon and Summer Drake, Derrick Drake, Tiffany Newsome, Kimberly and Justin Justice; great-grandchildren, Kyleigh Justice, Kenzie Justice, Regan Drake, Henson Drake, Logan Drake and several other grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. Thelma also is survived by her sister, Carol Jean Brewer, of Circleville, Ohio.

Funeral services were conducted Thursday, Jan. 4, 2024, at Mullins Family Funeral Home, Warfield, with Ken Allen officiating. Burial was at the Copley Cemetery. Mullins Family Funeral Home is honored to serve the family.
