Pricie Belle (Mills) Waltz
1960—2023
We gather to honor the memory of Pricie Belle Waltz, a soul whose journey encompassed the virtues of humility, gratitude and reverence for all of creation. On Dec. 23, 2023, Pricie gracefully embraced her heavenly calling, leaving behind a legacy woven with threads of faith and devotion.
Born on a sacred day, Dec. 20, 1960, Pricie hailed from Louisa in Lawrence County, Kentucky, a place where the tapestry of her life began to unfold. It was in Newark, Ohio, that she peacefully transitioned from this mortal realm, guided by the hands of divine providence.
Pricie’s life was a testament to the power of faith and family. She was a cherished daughter, a loving mother and a loving grandmother. Crystal Waltz, her beloved daughter, and her sons Michael (Katie) Waltz and John (Sarah) Waltz were the pillars of her existence, enveloped in the warmth of her love and wisdom. Pricie found solace in the laughter and joy of her grandchildren, Austin (Emily) and Alexis (Angus), as they reveled in the blessings of family ties.
Within the sacred circle of kinship, Pricie found strength and solace. Ella (Mike) James, Nancy (Bill) Elkins, Eddy (Mary) Mills, Betty (Burnie) Rush, Stella (Bob) Hammond and Ralph (Doug) (Patty) Mills, siblings united by blood and love, stood by her side, offering unwavering support and boundless affection. Brother-in-law Cecil Mills, a guiding light, and bonus sister Lucy (Mike) Peterson, a soul intertwined in the tapestry of her heart, added an extra layer of divine grace.
Pricie’s special nieces, Michelle Horn and Patricia, were like guardian angels, their presence a testimony to the blessings bestowed upon her.
Yet, as the eternal dance unfolds, we must acknowledge the shadows that accompany life’s pilgrimage. Pricie’s heart carried the weight of loss, bidding farewell to her beloved husband, Michael Waltz, whose spirit now finds solace in the celestial realms. She sought solace in the embrace of eternal rest, reuniting with her parents.
Funeral services were conducted Saturday, Dec. 30, 2023, at the Hearts of Christ Church, with Albert Horn and Jimmy Horn officiating. Burial was at the Waltz Family Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Crum Funeral Home of Inez.
