Johnie Moore

Johnie Moore, 71, of Inez, passed away Monday, Dec. 25, 2023, at the Pikeville Medical Center in Pikeville.
Born March 10, 1952, in Inez, he was the son of the late Thurman and Mary (Stacy) Moore.
Johnie’s occupations included a sawmill, railroad, logger and coal miner at Martin County Coal (Massey).
He was a member of the Old Zion United Baptist Church but fellowshipped with many other denominations. He is survived by his wife, Patricia Louise (Stepp) Moore of Inez; four sons, Archie Thurman (Christy) Moore of Louisa, Jonathan Bradley (Loni Jae) Moore of Paintsville, Joseph Travis Moore and Paul Alex Moore, both of Inez; four daughters, Mary Elizabeth (Billy) Collins of Prestonsburg, Rebecca Lynn Moore of Cutler, Ohio, Sarah Nichole Moore of Inez and Abigail Louise (Jason) Jude of Pikeville. Johnie is also survived by four brothers, Ralph Moore of Inez, Glenn Moore of Kermit, West Virginia, Bobby Moore of Flat Gap and Freddie Moore of Inez; and three sisters, Cora Stanley and Ora Dials, both of Inez, and Bertha Jude of Georgetown; and 14 grandchildren, Isaiah (Katie) Collins, Chloe (Paul) Hall, Phebe Collins, Randall Jude, Ryleigh Jude, Patricia Jude, John Jude, Cara Moore, Hudson Moore, Oliver Moore, Landen Sawyer, Kayleigh Sisk, Aubreigh Sisk and Parker Sisk.
Funeral services were conducted Saturday, Dec. 30, 2023, in the chapel of Crum Funeral Home. The family will hold a private memorial service in the Stacy Cemetery at a later date. At the request of the family, donations can be made to the charity of your choice. Arrangements are under the direction of Crum Funeral Home of Inez.
