Extension Moments

I want everyone to keep in mind that we can do free sampling and hay sampling and will work with you on putting together a feed plan for your livestock. Be watching this space for upcoming meetings.

I am truly pleased to serve as your Agriculture and Natural Resources agent here in Martin County. It is with great anticipation that I approach the upcoming year.

Winter is a time to rest; the short days allow us to reflect and plan for the next season. My mom always teased me about being a wintertime farmer. It is nice to be snug and warm and think of Spring.

Sadly, winter can be hard for our friends and neighbors who may be less fortunate than us. We should remember those folks and do what we can.

I look forward to helping folks here in the county.

As we enter the Holiday Season, I wish you all peace, happiness, and prosperity for the upcoming year.

We have so many exciting things in planning, and I will be able to announce some dates when Christmas break is over. As a reminder, the Extension Office will be closed from Dec. 23, 2023-Jan. 2, 2024.

Merry Christmas and a very Happy New Year!
