INEZ — Martin County Sheriff John Kirk’s office reported the following arrests and citations:
David Joshua Brown, 38, of Lovely, was arrested Monday on North Wolf Creek Road in Lovely for first-degree fleeing or evading police (motor vehicle), no tail lamps and false report of an indictment to law enforcement. Chief Deputy Chris Kidd made the arrest.
Robert Blankenship, 25, of Belfry, was arrested Sunday at 13483 Riverfront Road, Belfry (Martin County), for fourth-degree assault (minor injury) and a bench warrant for court. Deputy Chris Sesco responded to a report that Blankenship struck Kelly Gauze in the face causing minor injury.
Ronda Salmons, 53, of Inez, was arrested Sunday on Blacklog Road in Inez for wanton endangerment, first degree; assault, third degree (police officer or probation officer); assault, fourth degree (domestic violence), no visible injury; resisting arrest; menacing; and terroristic threatening, third degree. Deputy Sesco received a call reporting Salmons was threatening to hurt Kenny Crum with an ax. The deputy also received a video of Salmons swinging the ax at Crum. While talking with Salmons, she pushed and hit the deputy in the chest. Another officer on scene came forward to assist the deputy and Salmons assaulted him also. When law enforcement advised Salmons that she was under arrest, she started fighting with them, grabbing items out of the police cruiser, swinging her arms and kicking her legs.
Darrell Mathew Mills, 43, of Tomahawk, was arrested Sunday at McDonald’s in Inez for operating a motor vehicle under the influence of controlled substance. Deputy Sesco responded to a complaint about a wreck at McDonald’s. When the deputy arrived, Mills was eating in his vehicle. The officer noted that Mills had slurred speech and glossy eyes. Sheriff Kirk asked Mills to step out of the vehicle for a field sobriety test, which resulted in the arrest.
Tonya Simmons, 47, of Savannah, Georgia, was arrested Saturday in Tomahawk on a bench warrant for court for a felony charge. Sesco made the arrest.
Mason Napier, 36, of Crum, West Virginia, was arrested Saturday on State Route 292 in Lovely on a warrant for failure to appear. Deputy Reffett made the arrest.
Mary Lou Setser, 53, of Inez, was arrested Friday on Bowentown Road in Inez on a warrant for failure to appear (citation for misdemeanor). Deputy D. Reffett made the arrest.
Ernest Dingess Jr., 50, of Warfield, was arrested Friday on Dingess Road in Warfield for assault, fourth degree (domestic violence) minor injury. Deputy Sesco responded to a report that Dingess assaulted a female. The female advised she had given Dingess a ride into town to buy beer. She stated that when they returned to Dingess’ residence, he started arguing with her and struck her in the face.
Patrick Zamor, 28, of Albuquerque, New Mexico, was arrested Friday at the United States Penitentiary Big Sandy in Debord on a fugitive from another state warrant. Kidd made the arrest.
Steven Vanhoose, 34, of Stambaugh, was arrested Dec. 5 on Blacklog Road in Inez on two bench warrants for court. Deputy Kidd made the arrest.
Donald Delong, 44, of Debord, was arrested Dec. 5 for failure to appear on a misdemeanor citation.
Ashley Salmons, 32, of Inez, was arrested Dec. 5 on Blacklog Road in Inez on two bench warrants for court. Deputy Sesco made the arrest.
Christopher Fowler, 31, of Debord, was arrested Dec. 4 for all-terrain vehicles violations, operating on a suspended or revoked operator’s license, first-degree or first-offense possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), possession of marijuana and failure to appear.
Other arrests
Adam Maynard, 39, of Pilgrim, was arrested Saturday for fourth-degree assault (domestic violence) minor injury. Kentucky State Police Trooper Amburgey made the arrest.
Billie Horn, 30, of Inez, was arrested Dec. 2 in Floyd County for assault, fourth degree (minor injury).
