Roger Dale ‘Scooter’ Runyon
1954—2023

Roger Dale “Scooter” Runyon, 69, of Kermit, went home to be with the Lord Thursday, Nov. 30, 2023, at his home.

Born July 27, 1954, in Kermit, he was the son of the late Roy and Evelyn Jones Runyon.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his siblings, Leeroy, Larry Joe, Lewis Ray, Chester, Charles Cecil, Wilbur Dean and Wendell Glen.

Scooter was a member of the Kermit Freewill Baptist Church.

Survivors include his brother, Richard Runyon of Pilgrim; sisters, Patricia Igo, Joan Crank and Shelia Kay Bowen, all of Kermit; and extended family and friends.

Funeral services were conducted Sunday, Dec. 3, 2023, at the Kermit Freewill Baptist Church, with Walter Marcum officiating. Burial was at the Runyon Cemetery in Kermit. Mullins Family Funeral Home of Warfield is honored to serve the family.
