INEZ — Martin County Sheriff John Kirk’s Office reported the following arrests:
Jonathan Mollett, 35, of Louisa, was arrested Monday on Old Route 3 in Inez for theft by unlawful taking or disposition $1,000-10,000 and first-degree criminal mischief. Sheriff Kirk made the arrest.
James Moore, 53, of Lovely, was arrested Saturday in Lovely on a warrant for second-degree burglary and persistent felony offender. Deputy Chris Sesco made the arrest.
Calvin Fletcher, 64, of Warfield, was arrested Nov. 22 in Warfield for fourth-degree assault (domestic violence). Chief Deputy Chris Kidd responded to an altercation in progress. The deputy reported that Fletcher and a female were inside the residence and appeared intoxicated. The female had a red spot on her face and stated Fletcher caused the spot by punching her in the face.
John Henry Jude, 54, of Inez, was arrested Nov. 21 on Davis Branch Road in Debord for possession of handgun by convicted felon. Sesco made the arrest.
Jeremy Jarvis, 35, of Inez, was arrested Nov. 21 on Davis Branch Road in Debord for first-degree burglary, resisting arrest, theft of identity of another without consent, theft-receipt of stolen credit/debit card (more than two cards), and second-degree burglary. Deputy Sesco responded to a call about a burglary at 4044 North Wolf Creek in Lovely. The caller stated Jarvis was there when the owners arrived home after being gone. Officers located Jarvis at 248 Davis Branch of Middle Fork, where he was hiding inside a dryer. Police seized multiple stolen items, including passports, debit and credit cards and blank checks. Following Jarvis’ arrest, Constable Brad Preece served a warrant on Jarvis for second-degree burglary.
