LOUISA — A Louisa man remains behind bars following his arrest Nov. 21 on multiple counts of distributing obscene material to minors, procuring a minor by electronic means and terroristic threatening.
The Kentucky State Police, in collaboration with the West Virginia Child Exploitation and Human Trafficking Task Force and the Ashland Police Department, arrested Jerod Kelly, 35, on Old River Road in Louisa.
The arrest followed the execution of a search warrant at Kelly’s location, resulting in the seizure of evidence directly linked to the commission of the crimes.
The investigation, prompted by an allegation, revealed that Kelly used Facebook and Messenger to solicit juvenile females to send explicit images of themselves.
Kelly is facing 10 counts of distribution of obscene matter to minors, first offense, 10 counts of procuring a minor by electronic means, and one count of terroristic threatening, third degree.
The investigation is ongoing.
