Harrison Oakley Delong
1938—2023

Harrison Oakley Delong, age 85, of Debord, passed away Nov. 25, 2023, at Martin County Healthcare Facility.

He was born May 1, 1938, in Martin County to the late John P. Delong and Pearl Porter Delong.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one brother, Roger Baker and four sisters, Vonda Sue Maynard, Jewell Dean Christy, Willa Mae Gusten and Roxie Waueka Delong.

He is survived by one daughter, Angela “Butch” Bishop of Grove City, Ohio; two grandchildren, Justin Delong and Zachary (Kelsie) Delong, both of Columbus, Ohio; two brothers, Charles Baker Jr. and Bobby Joe Delong, both of Columbus, Ohio; and two sisters, Phyllis Jean Maynard of Beauty and Patricia Rose Cumbo of Columbus, Ohio. He is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, Nov. 28, 2023 at 1 p.m. in the chapel of Crum Funeral Home. Burial will follow at the Delong Cemetery in Debord. Friends may visit the funeral home Monday from 5-9 p.m.  Arrangements are under the direction of Crum Funeral Home of Inez.
