Hailing from Phelps High School, Mr. Charles was pivotal in the 1988 15th Region championship basketball team, etching his name in Phelps history. His pride extended beyond his alma mater, as he enthusiastically supported all Cardinals and Martin County athletes and students.
Charles was excited and looked forward to unfolding sports seasons. He had a particular passion for basketball.
