INEZ — Basketball fans will be able to catch Lyon County star and UK signee Travis Perry in action in the 2023 Zip Zone Express Tip-Off Classic set for Nov. 25 at Martin County High School.

Lyon County will take on Great Crossing at 4 p.m.

Perry, the leading high school scorer in the state and the 2023-2024 Gatorade Player of the Year, announced Nov. 12 that he has decided to stay in-state for the next chapter of his career with the University of Kentucky.

Perry made headlines during the Sweet 16 in March when he surpassed Kelly Coleman’s 4,337 career points record.

Perry had narrowed his choices to five schools: Kentucky, Western Kentucky, Cincinnati, Ole Miss and Alabama. Ultimately, the blue and white for the University of Kentucky prevailed.
