Upcoming book signing Nov. 10 in Inez

INEZ — Inez author Anna J. Horn is set to host a book signing event Nov. 10 for her new publication, “A Widow’s Heart: Suffering in Silence.” The event will be held at Shufflin’ Café on Main Street, Inez, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Attendees will have the opportunity to meet Horn and purchase her book, which narrates her personal journey of grief after an enduring 51-year marriage. The book delves into the days leading up to the death of her husband, Mossie, and the challenges of adapting to life as a widow. As time progresses, Horn’s memories of the past and her husband’s illness intensify, leading to moments of deep sorrow. Despite her heartache, Horn finds solace and hope through divine encounters in God’s word and visions, ultimately discovering a renewed purpose and identity.

Out of her experiences and the turmoil between her soul and spirit, Horn establishes a ministry called “Widow’s Heart.” This ministry, co-founded with two lifelong widow friends, supports and uplifts other widows navigating the silent pain of grief. Through their lives of surrender and seeking God’s guidance, the scripture in Job 29:13 is fulfilled: “And I caused the widow’s heart to sing for joy.”
