INEZ — Martin County Sheriff John Kirk’s Office reported the following arrests:
Estella Justice-Mills, 47, homeless, was arrested Monday on Groundhog Hollow in Warfield for third-degree criminal trespassing, criminal littering and theft by unlawful taking or disposition all others under $500. Sheriff Kirk reported that Justice-Mills had set up a makeshift tent on private property at Groundhog Hollow and had been told to leave but refused to leave. According to the sheriff, the suspect had thrown litter all over an area on the property and had two shopping carts belonging to Dollar General. The sheriff noted the suspect “is a homeless person and has taken up homestead on private property.” Sheriff Kirk reported that he gave Justice-Mills several days to clean up the area and vacate, but she had not done so.
Ginger Shell, 49, was arrested Saturday for second-degree disorderly conduct. Deputy Reffett made the arrest.
Carmel Stacy, 43, of Debord, was arrested Friday in Debord for first-degree possession of controlled substance (methamphetamine), second-degree possession of controlled substance (amphetamine) and prescription controlled substance not in proper container. Deputy Reffett assisted another officer at a traffic stop. During the stop, the deputy asked Stacy if he had anything illegal in his truck. Stacy allegedly said he had “a little bit of meth and some pills.”
Casey Joe Spence, 25, of Inez, was arrested Thursday for receiving stolen property $500-$10,000. Sheriff Kirk reported Spence was in possession of a stolen 2000 GMC Yukon. The police report states Spence had the keys to the vehicle on him. Spence reportedly told the sheriff that the owner’s son loaned him the vehicle. According to the sheriff, that person denied loaning the vehicle to Spence.
Homer Harless Jr., 49, of Debord, was arrested Oct. 18 on New Route 3 in Debord for possession of a controlled substance, second degree (drug unspecified). Sheriff Kirk reported Harless had three white oblong pills in his possession, which Poison Control identified as Gabapentin. Harless was a passenger in a car whose driver was stopped and cited for driving on a suspended license. The owner gave consent to search the vehicle. The pills were located in the seat under Harless.
Sheana K. Crum, 29, of Tomahawk, was arrested Oct. 18 on New Route 3 in Inez for possession of a controlled substance, second degree (drug unspecified). Sheriff Kirk reported Crum had five white oblong pills in her possession, identified as Gabapentin. Crum was a passenger in a car whose driver was stopped and cited for driving on a suspended license. According to the police report, the pills were on the seat and floor where Crum was sitting.
Donnie Harmon, 73, of Pilgrim, was arrested Oct. 18 for assault, fourth degree (minor injury). Deputy D. Reffett was dispatched to White Oak Road in Pilgrim for a possible assault. According to the deputy, the two suspects had separated before he arrived. The officer noted a female had been assaulted and had visible cuts on her right forearm. According to the police report, the female had a video of Harmon approaching her back door and making threats.
John Perry, 73, of East Lake, Ohio, was arrested Oct. 16 at Lake County Detention Center in Painesville, Ohio, on an indictment warrant charging him with two counts of first-degree sexual abuse victim under 12 years of age and one count of first-degree sexual abuse. Sheriff Kirk made the arrest.
All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
