Shelby Jarrell
1938—2023

Shelby Jarrell, 84, passed away Friday, Oct. 13, 2023, after a vibrant life as a wife, mother and grandma.

Born Dec. 12, 1938, in Inez, she was the daughter of Haskel and Fannie Clark.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Jarrell, whom she met in high school in the 10th grade. Soon after high school, they moved to Columbus, Ohio, where they were married in 1960.

She is also preceded in death by three siblings.

Shelby’s family and friends remember her strong dedication to family and God and her love for outdoor activities. She was always on your side as the biggest supporter and cheerleader.

Shelby leaves a lasting legacy to her two sons, Brian (Melinda) Jarrell of San Marcos, California, and Randy (Lisa) Jarrell of Chillicothe, Ohio; 13 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and siblings, Lutie Williams, Sara Hall and David Clark.

The funeral will be Monday, Oct. 23, 2023, at 1 p.m. at the Mullins Family Funeral Home in Warfield, with Joe Mullins officiating. Visitation will be from noon until the time of the service. Burial will follow in the Jarrell Cemetery in Hode. Mullins Family Funeral Home is honored to serve the family.
