Staff and Martin County Health Care Facility residents congratulate Melissa on her recent success and completion of therapy.

Melissa came to Martin County Health Care after a recent hospitalization left her unable to care for herself in her home. She completed occupational, physical and speech therapy.

“It all started when I had a stroke,” Melissa said. “It took a lot from me; a lot of things changed. I was used to being independent.

“Therapy taught me that I can overcome these obstacles that I am facing.”

She added, “The therapists have helped me achieve some of my goals in life. I recommend therapy so people can get their lives back.”
