Virgie Jude
1944—2023

Virgie Jude, age 79, of Inez, passed away Oct. 1, 2023, at Three Rivers Medical Center in Louisa.

Born April 5, 1944, in Martin County, she was the daughter of the late Jeff and Kate Maynard Jude.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by 10 brothers and sisters: Easter Coleman, Liz Jones, Victoria Sparks, Elma Jones, Dolly Mills, Isaac Jude, John Jude, Tommy Jude, Harlon Jude and Edgar Jude.

Survivors include her two sons, Howard L. Mills Jr. and Martin Jefferson Mills, both of Inez; two daughters, Connie D. Mills Preece of Louisa and Ida Kay Mills Castle of Elyria, Ohio; one stepdaughter, Donna J. Maynard of Inez; and four siblings, Margie Mills, Edward Jude, Charlie Jude and James Jude. Additional survivors include 13 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were conducted Thursday, Oct. 5, 2023, in the chapel of Crum Funeral Home, with Rusty Maynard officiating. Burial was at the Mills Family Cemetery on Coldwater under the direction of the Crum Funeral Home of Inez.
