McCall Art Gallery presents ‘San Clemente’ by local artist Toy Adams

PRESTONSBURG — The McCall Art Gallery at Big Sandy Community and Technical College is set to display the works of Paintsville-born artist Toy Adams. The exhibition, “San Clemente,” will run from Oct. 18 through Nov. 29.

Adams, renowned for his captivating and evocative photography, will be present at the opening reception Oct. 18. This offers the community a unique opportunity to meet the artist in person, delve into his creative journey, and discuss his works.

The “San Clemente” collection promises a visual odyssey, embodying the essence of contemporary photography.

Adams’ photographs break conventional barriers, allowing viewers to explore the world through his lens. Each image tells a unique story, inviting viewers to interpret and appreciate the artistry behind the images.

Matt Smith, the director of McCall Art Gallery, expressed his enthusiasm.

“We’re thrilled to present Toy Adams’ ‘San Clemente’ exhibition,” Smith remarked. “His work is a testament to the power of visual storytelling, and we believe it will resonate deeply with our community.”

Smith invites the public to the opening reception at 3 p.m. Oct. 18.

Admission to the gallery is free.

During the exhibition, the gallery will be open Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
