NAUGATUCK — A popular convenience store in Mingo County has new owners and a new name. Since Sept. 19, the Panther Mart, located at 469 U.S. Route 52 in Naugatuck, has been operated by the Par Mar Stores Group, according to a release from Par Mar Stores spokesperson Dave Allen.

The Marietta, Ohio-based company operates stores in five states: West Virginia, Ohio, Kentucky, Maryland and Pennsylvania. This is Par Mar’s 228th store location and their second Mingo County store. Par Mar assumed operations of the former T&K Mart on Marrowbone Creek earlier this summer.

Par Mar Stores President Brian Waugh says the store will remain open 24 hours a day and continue to serve the foods the Panther Mart has been famous for.
