Martin County High School soccer player Laura Hale is making waves on the field. Her performances on the field have been outstanding, earning her the Mountain Citizen Player of the Week.

Hale leads her team in goals this season with 27 and points with 69. She is averaging 2.1 goals and 5.3 points per game.

The junior ranks among stat leaders across the state. She is ranked 13th for total goals, seventh for points and ninth for total assists with 15.

Hale’s contributions have played a vital role in her team achieving a 12-2 season record, an All “A” 15th Region championship and an Elite 8 appearance.

Hale and the Lady Cards will compete in the Elite 8 at the All “A” Classic State Tournament at 9 a.m. Saturday in Louisville, where they will face off against University Heights.

Hale is the daughter of Bobby and Susan Hale.
