WILLIAMSON, W.Va. — Martin County Middle School dominated Williamson 32-16 in a road game Thursday.
The Cardinals showcased their skills on both offense and defense.
Quarterback Bryson Dials displayed pinpoint accuracy, completing 3 of 4 passes for 82 yards.
Jeremy Bentley led the charge in the running game. Bentley carried the ball 13 times for 132 yards, securing three touchdowns and contributing 10 crucial tackles to the defensive effort.
Not to be outdone, Brayden Fannin added to the team’s offensive success with 15 carries, amassing 153 yards and scoring one touchdown.
The receivers also made their presence felt. Chase Hinkle recorded two receptions for 62 yards, and Bradley Hatfield notched one reception for 20 yards and tallied eight tackles on defense.
MCMS coach Wesley Hager applauded the offensive line’s performance, a unit composed of center Blake Stacy, Liam May, Dylan Dye, Braxton Carter, Aaron Williamson and Spencer Workman.
“The offensive line as a whole, led by Blake Stacy, played excellent,” Hager said.
The Cardinals are back in action Thursday at Floyd Central.
