Martin County indictments span stolen property, drugs, firearms and forgery

INEZ — A Martin County grand jury handed up indictments Thursday targeting six individuals. The charges range from property theft and forgery to illegal drug possession and firearm offenses.

Jonathan Mollett

Jonathan Mollett, 35, from Rockcastle Road, Louisa, stands accused of receiving stolen property valued under $10,000/complicity and being a persistent felony offender in the second degree. Upon his arrest Aug. 21, Mollett allegedly had a 2012 Artic Cat brand 4-wheeler stolen from Junior Horn of Inez. The indictment states Mollett acted alone or with Rush Fraley and has a prior felony conviction. His bail is $10,000.

Rush Fraley

Rush Fraley, 47, of Tomahawk, faces charges of receiving stolen property under $10,000/complicity and persistent felony offender in the second degree. Like Mollett, the indictment alleges that Fraley was in possession of the stolen 4-wheeler Aug. 21, either on his own or with Mollett. Fraley also has a prior felony conviction. His bail mirrors Mollett’s at $10,000.

Fred Daniels

Fred Daniels, 52, of Tomahawk, stands accused of first-degree trafficking of a controlled substance (more than 2 grams of methamphetamine), trafficking less than 8 ounces of marijuana, and possession/use of drug paraphernalia. Upon his arrest Sept. 5, Daniels allegedly had 19 grams of methamphetamine, various baggies containing marijuana, three sets of digital scales, and an altered glass smoking device. Daniels’ bail stands at $10,000.

Charles Stacy

Charles F. Stacy, 61, from Inez, faces a charge of criminal possession of a forged instrument in the second degree. Stacy allegedly had a counterfeit Kentucky title certification for a 2004 Pontiac GTO, intending to commit fraud Feb. 8.

Jason Mollett

Jason Mollett, 42, of Tomahawk, faces a charge of possession of a handgun by a convicted felon. The indictment states police caught Mollett Aug. 4 with a Taurus brand 9mm-caliber handgun. His bail is $10,000.

Joshua Moore

Joshua Moore, 28, from Inez, faces charges of possession of a controlled substance in the first degree (methamphetamine) and possession/use of drug paraphernalia. The indictment states Moore had methamphetamine and an altered glass pipe in his possession Aug. 5. His bail is $5,000.
