Christopher Joseph Adkins
1989—2023

Christopher Joseph Adkins, 34, of Inez, passed away on Sept. 1, 2023, at his dad’s home.

Born Jan. 22, 1989, in Pikeville, he was the son of Lisa Adkins Mollett and the late Carl Scott. His dad, Larry Smith, preceded him in death on July 12, 2023.

Survivors include Chris’s wife of 16 years, Samantha Pierce Adkins of Inez; children, Little Chris, Samuel “JoJo,” Mason, Connor, Alyssa, Emely and Amber Adkins; and siblings, James Adkins, Warren Mollett, David Little and Marvin Sweeney, all of Inez,  Joseph Little of Louisa,  and Crystal Reedy of Kermit, West Virginia. He also leaves behind two special friends he considered brothers, Shannon and Chad Smith, and a host of extended family and friends.

Visitation will be Monday, Sept. 4, 2023, after 3 p.m., all day Tuesday, and until the time of service Wednesday at the Martin County Freewill Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be at noon Wednesday, Sept. 6, 2023, at the Martin County Freewill Baptist Church, with Bobby Mullins and Henry Jay Jude officiating. Visitation will be Monday after 3 p.m., all day Tuesday, and until the time of service Wednesday. Burial will follow in the Jude Cemetery on Finley Fork in Pilgrim. Mullins Family Funeral Home is honored to serve the family.
