INEZ — Judge Brett Butcher heard the following cases Aug. 8 and 9 in Martin District Court:

Johnathon Fletcher (pretrial conference) — 1. Possession of controlled substance, third degree (drug unspecified); 2. Drug paraphernalia-buy/possession; 3. Trafficking in marijuana, less than 8 ounces, first offense; 4. Resisting arrest: 1 and 4. Pleaded guilty, 90 days to serve, probation of two years on condition he has no new violation; 2. Dismissed (has prescription); 3. Dismissed.

Hayes Maynard (pretrial conference) — 1. No/expired registration plates; 2. No/expired Kentucky registration receipt; 3. Failure of owner to maintain required insurance/security first; 4. Operating on suspended/revoked operator’s license: 1-2. Dismissed; 3-4. Pleaded guilty, 30 days to serve, credit time served 30 days.

Hayes D. Maynard (pretrial conference) — Criminal trespass, second degree; criminal mischief, first degree; assault, fourth degree, minor injury: Defendant must complete inpatient treatment at ARC. Review 9/5/23 at 10 a.m.

James Maynard (pretrial conference) — Operating vehicle with expired operator’s license; three counts of possession of open alcoholic beverage container in a motor vehicle; no tail lamps, no brake lights (passenger vehicle): Failure to appear.

Earl Mollett (pretrial conference) — Theft by unlawful taking or disposition auto $500-$1,000: Dismissed in exchange for Dorothy Spence’s plea.

Craig Mueller (pretrial conference) — Speeding 17 mph over limit; rear license not illuminated; license to be in possession; failure of owner to maintain required insurance card; failure to notify Department of Transportation of address change; improper equipment: Sober living, reset 9/5/23 at 10 a.m.

James Muncy (pretrial conference) — Public intoxication of controlled substance (excludes alcohol): Pleaded guilty, 90 days, probation for one year on condition he completes inpatient treatment at ARC.

Megan Neidlinger (pretrial conference) — Operating on suspended/revoked operator’s license: Dismissed, proof shown.

Matthew Rose (pretrial conference) — Rear license not illuminated; inadequate silencer (muffler); failure to produce insurance card; operating on suspended/revoked operator’s license: Bench warrant $500 cash.

Ryan Kelly Sites (pretrial conference) — Operating motor vehicle under influence of alcohol/substance, first amended to reckless driving: Pleaded guilty, $200 fine and court cost, $343. Show cause 2/6/24 at 10 a.m.

Nathaniel Sparks (pretrial conference) — No/expired registration plates; no/expired Kentucky registration receipt; improper display of registration plates; failure to produce insurance card; failure of owner to maintain required insurance/security first; failure to wear seat belts; driving on DUI-suspended license, first offense: Failure to appear.

Dorthy Spence (pretrial conference) — Theft by unlawful taking or disposition auto $500-$1,000: Pleaded guilty, 90 days, probation two years on condition she has no new charge and stays off Fred Daniels’ property. Waived court costs.

Deja Rayn Dotson (motion hour) — 1. Instructional permit violations; 2. Failure to notify DOT of address change: 1. Dismissed with warning; 2. Dismissed, proof shown.

Geraldine Litton (arraignment) — Alcohol intoxication in a public place, first and second offense: Allegations taken as true, $25 fine and court cost.

Megan Elizabeth Neidlinger (motion hour) — No operator’s/moped license: Dismissed, proof shown.

James H. Presley (arraignment) — Failure to wear seat belts: Dismissed with warning.

Coty Allen Sexton (arraignment) — Speeding 26 mph over/greater: Failure to appear.

Dallas Lee Shell (arraignment) — Alcohol intoxication in a public place, first and second offense: Pleaded not guilty, pretrial conference 9/5/23 at 10 a.m.

James Ward (arraignment) — Possession of controlled substance, third degree (drug unspecified): Pleaded not guilty, pretrial conference 9/5/23 at 10 a.m.

Calvin Williams (review) — Fugitive from another state warrant required: Picked up. Removed from docket.
