Jeffery Allen Ward
1969—2023

Jeffery Allen Ward, 54, of Mingo County, West Virginia, passed away Aug. 8, 2023, at his home.

Jeffery was born June 2, 1969, to Dorothy Marie (Baker) Ward of Greenville, Ohio, and Oakey Ward of Martin County, Kentucky. He is preceded in death by his mother and father.

Jeffery is survived by three brothers, James (Sandra) Ward of Teays Valley, West Virginia, Timothy (Gretta) Ward and Clayton Ward, both of Martin County. He is also survived by three children, Stacy Ward (Todd) Matthews and Amber Ward (Ron Jones), both Warfield, Kentucky, and Joshua (Katie) Ward of Lee County, Kentucky; and five grandchildren, Joesph Zane Matthews, Juniper Matthews, Sadie Grace Ward, Asher Ward and Jerimiah Stacy. 

Funeral services were conducted Friday, Aug. 11, 2023, with Buddy Stacy and David Stacy officiating. Burial was at the Ward Family Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made to the funeral home to assist with funeral costs. Arrangements are under the direction of the Crum Funeral Home of Inez.
