Delores Delong
1937—2023

Delores “Eudie” Delong, 85, of Tomahawk, passed away Monday, Aug. 7, 2023 at Highlands ARH Medical Center in Prestonsburg.

She was born Nov. 15, 1937 in Martin County to the late Walter and Stella Sturgell. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Eddie Delong, one daughter, Patricia Delong Fannin and one grandson, Benjamin Delong.

Delores is survived by her children, Ernie (Paula) Delong of Tomahawk and Diana Delong of Paintsville; four grandchildren, Amanda (John) Horn, Jamie Floyd, Amos Moses (Ruby) Fannin and Dakota (Kevin Blankenship) Delong; and five great-grandchildren. She is also survived by one sister, Lillian Lembke of Columbus, Ohio, and special friends Pauline Akers and John Rowland.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 9, 2023 at the Callaham Funeral Home in Inez, with Nathan Harless officiating. Burial will follow at the Delong Cemetery in Tomahawk. Friends may visit the funeral home Tuesday from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Arrangements are under the direction of the Callaham Funeral Home, Inez.
