Jimmy Moore
1951—2023
Jimmy Moore, 72, of Kermit, West Virginia, passed away at his home Sunday, July 23, 2023.
Born April 24, 1951, in Breeden, he was the son of the late Pink and Polly Moore.
Jimmy was a retired electrician for Marrowbone Development Coal Company.
Jimmy is survived by his wife of 51 years, JoAnne McCloud Moore of Kermit; a son, Jody Lee (Crystal) Moore of Nicholasville, Kentucky; a daughter, Keshia Lynn (Joshua) Vance of Chapmanville; and grandchildren, Nate and Sam Moore and Jacob and Alex Vance. He is also survived by his sisters, Betty (Robert) Stacy and Christine Hatfield; sisters-in-law, Judy (Robert) Gore, Alma Jo Hodge and Peggy (French) Burke; and brother-in-law, Johnny (Laura) McCloud. Several nieces, nephews and extended family and friends also survive him.
Jimmy loved his wife, children, grandsons and all his family very dearly. He loved racing, building Volkswagens, fishing, hunting, car shows and camping. Jim was truly a jack of all trades and could build or fix anything.
Visitation will be on Aug. 12, 2023, from noon til 1 p.m., with funeral services beginning at 1 p.m. at the Mullins Family Funeral Home with Bobby Perry, Sr. officiating. Burial will follow in the Highland Memory Gardens of Chapmanville. Mullins Family Funeral Home is honored to serve Jimmy Moore’s family.
